Pre-Prep Reception – Honeybees

The Reception Classroom is large, colourful and light and has an adjoining outdoor space. It is here that we encourage children to explore and love reading, writing and maths – all the while learning to play together and making friends.

We continue with a themed approach to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum – enhanced by trips and visiting speakers – with children’s own experiences made central to their learning. In addition, children learn swimming, PE, Music and French.

We encourage parents to be involved in each child’s education by, for example, sharing reading and games, and coming to class to talk about a topic of interest to them.
