Sarah Bartholomew

Head of Nursery & Pre-Prep

Mrs. Sarah Louise Bartholomew is an experienced practitioner, educator and leader having taught both in the UK and overseas in Auckland, New Zealand for nearly 25 years. 

She successfully led a Junior School in East Auckland (Juniors in NZ are the same age as our Pre-Prep). Prior to that she worked in an Independent Boys’ School in Auckland for 15 years, working in both the Early Years and Primary sector.
Sarah has always been involved in the Transition to School process. She has set up an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit and outdoor curriculum in a village school in Stratford Upon Avon, and prior to that she worked within the Early Years in Hertfordshire after completed her 4-year BEd at Hertfordshire University, UK.

Her strengths are pastoral care, communication and commitment to the position. She leads by excellence and has high standards. Her beliefs are to build a ‘whole child’ which can be successful in the world in which we live and prepare them for the future. To problem solve, collaborate as part of a team, to be confident in their own abilities and to like and be proud of ‘who they are’ and ‘what they can achieve’.
