St Edmund's

The combined forces of L5, M5 and U5 joined forces in a concert on Monday evening. As the large, multi-bubble ensembles such as Orchestra and Big Band unfortunately were unable to play together at this point, the audience enjoyed a selection of items from the Fifth Form Choir (Londonderry Air – arr. Chilcott and My Spirit Sang All Day – Finzi) and Chamber Choir (Underneath the Stars – Rusby, arr Roberts and Get Around – The Beach Boys, arr. Roberts).

The ensemble items were punctuated by a selection of soloists; Fred, Josie and Katie, Joseph and Olivia all performed stylishly and with great expression. To end the performance, Orlando (bass) and Thomas (clarinet), rounded off the evening stylishly and with great aplomb.

It was heart-warming to hear some of the slightly larger groups performing again together. Well done to all performers for such a splendid programme.
