Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest

St Edmund’s pupils have performed superbly in the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest 2023.

This is a prestigious international competition run by the University of Waterloo in Ontario.

Four St Edmund’s Sixth Formers – Patrick, Huw, Jing and Svyatoslav – ranked in the top 25% of contestants from around the world.

This means that they received Certificates of Distinction in recognition of outstanding performance.

Head of Mathematics Dr Edwin Jones said “We are delighted with these impressive results which reflect both the talent of our pupils and the school’s commitment to stretching our most able students.”
