Mr Masterson delivered a talk on Wednesday highlighting the science in superheroes.

He analysed the hero’s powers and ranked them highest to lowest depending on how realistic their powers were. His nine superheroes were: Superman, Batman, The Human Torch, Magneto, Professor X, Captain America, Ant Man and Aquaman.

He also judged them whether he thought any of the superhero’s powers would be possible for people to have in the ordinary world. As well as incorporating some maths and physics equations for work out the likelihood of any of the superhero’s powers.

Finally, he looked at some of the hero’s abilities which had inspired scientists to do new experiments and research new things.
